Privacy
This website is built to collect as little about you as possible.
What this site does not do
- It sets no cookies.
- It has no advertising, no tracking pixels and no social media embeds.
- It loads nothing from other companies: the fonts, pictures and code all come from this site.
- It does not measure or record visits.
Searching the site
The search runs in your own browser, using an index that is part of this site. The words you type are not sent to us or to any search company.
If you email us
If you write to secretary@uttlesford.greenparty.org.uk we use your name, address and message to reply to you and to deal with what you have asked. We do not add you to a mailing list because you emailed us.
The forms
The volunteer form and the mailing-list sign-up do not send anything themselves. Pressing the button opens an email in your own email program, addressed to us, and nothing goes anywhere until you send it. We then treat it like any other email. If you ask to join our mailing list we add you to it, and we take you off whenever you ask.
Links to other websites
Some buttons and links take you to other organisations’ websites, which have their own privacy policies:
- Joining the party takes you to the national Green Party’s joining page (national Green Party site).
- Donating takes you to Crowdfunder (Crowdfunder).
- Following us takes you to our pages on Facebook (Facebook) and Instagram (Instagram).
- Registering to vote and applying for a postal vote, proxy vote or photo ID take you to GOV.UK.
External links are marked, so you know when you are leaving this site.
Photographs and names
If you appear in a photograph or are named on this site and would like that removed, email secretary@uttlesford.greenparty.org.uk and we will take it down.
Members and supporters
If you are a member or supporter of the Green Party, the Green Party of England and Wales privacy policy (national Green Party site) explains how the party, including its local parties, looks after your information and how to use your rights over it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to secretary@uttlesford.greenparty.org.uk. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Draft: to be completed before launch with the name of the company that hosts the site and what its server logs record, and who looks after the mailing list, and checked with the national party.
